Indiana Jones and the Burger Kingdom!

                                Indiana Fast Foods
My friends found it Astonishing that I had been in Bangalore for 2 years and had not been to Indiana fast foods! Located next to the Famous Brigade Road, Indiana is one of the Oldest and Most Popular Burger Joints in Bangalore. People rave about their Burgers and on Weekends, the Cozy Restaurant becomes the Favorite haunt for many a college kid and the young working class in Bangalore. The Crowd Puller here is their Menu which is Simple and not too complicated and has Unbelievably reasonable prices! As a college student with a limited budget, those are the numbers you would love to see! However, i was a little disapointed with the food. Their burger pattys taste like Cutlets rather than the traditional tasty ground meat pattys and their Lamb burgers were quite bland! I havent tried their pizzas or sandwiches yet but i will definitely Give them a thumbs up next time over the Burgers! Their Secret to Success however lies in their Unmatched and Exceptional Mayonnaise that is Spectacularly Unique and quite Marvelous! It is sweetish and adds a Zing to its burgers that make them Ingestable for Foodies who are used to the Savoriness of Burgers like the Moo and The Juicy Lucy! However, Our Vegetarian and Chickenetarian Friends and some staunch Fans of Indiana may strongly disagree and Go Ballistic, So In order to Weather the Storm, I am going to politely and diplomatically conclude by saying that if you are a Beef and Lamb Lover, Look Elsewhere but if you are Low on Funds and not fussy and in the mood for some Decent fast food, Indiana awaits your Esteemed presence :) and Yes If you Believe in Value for Money, Indiana is the Place to be! Until Next time :) Cheers!

Finally! Fanoos finds a Serious Competitor!

                      Siddiqus Kabab Shop
If I ever mentioned that Fanoos was Shady, I am going to have to reconsider that! Recently, while we were on our way to Fanoos, one of my good friends Nidish suggested that we try out another place close by which served Bigger, Better and Juicier rolls than Fanoos! We laughed at the mere thought that such a place even existed and we thought he was trying to pull a fast one on us! But after many unsuccessful attempts at trying to convince us that he was speaking the truth, we finally gave in and decided to experiment! We asked some helpful locals for directions. They immediately seemed to know what we were looking for and after a couple of twisted turns and a deserted Gully and wondering if we would make it out Alive, We finally reached a straight road and could see a Huge Crowd around a dimly lit shop and guessed that it was the "One"! And Lo and Behold, there it was, Dark, Over Crowded and The Shadiest of the Shady! Siddiqu's Kabab Shop! The Board was not even lit properly but you could see by the size of their Customers that They meant Business! The menu lacked the variety of Fanoos and had a few dishes i had never heard of Before but Suddenly, There came a Shocker that brought a Wide Smile to my face! Sheekh Sambo Roll for 67 Rs! That was Unbelievable! At 86 Rs, I thought Fanoos was Value for Money but i was Mistaken! Sheekh Sambo at 67 Rs! That was Fantastic! The Crowd was Crazy and it took us around Ten minutes to get our Rolls! Wow! I would say that Their Sambo is just as Big as Fanoos and Juicy too but the Meat is more Granular and tastes slightly different! The main crowd puller is their reasonable prices and if you are willing to take a few twisted turns to Find the Place, It is definitely worth a Shot :)

A Royal Rajasthani Retreat - Rajdhani!

It may have been a while since my last post ( Exams -.- ) but take my word for it, This my friends, is not just any Ordinary Vegetarian Thali! Rajdhani is the Proud Traditional Vegetarian's Response to Barbeque Nation! Exquisite on the Palate and Intriguing in Variety, It does not fail to Impress! I must say that as a Hard - Core Non Vegetarian, I had a Skeptical Smile on my face when my Devout Vegetarian friends suggested that we dine out. However, to my Pleasant Surprise, Rajdhani was a Uniquely Satisfying Experience! Right from word Go!, A staff of Highly Motivated attendants skillfully load your plate with a series of Unlimited Regal Delicacies of Gujarati and Rajasthani Cuisine, topped with a Generous serving of Ghee and White Butter! Located on the Surreal Rooftop of Flamboyant Tycoon Vijay Mallya's UB City, It is a Brilliant Transfusion of Traditional North Indian Cuisine and a Blend of Soothing Rock Music emanating from the Translucent Windows of The City Bar! A Trip to Rajdhani is like a Taste of Nirvana, A Magnificent Mythical Paradise to The Music Loving Foodie! Have a Great Evening :)

Time to Man Up! - Mcdonalds India!

The Menu of The Most Successful Food Chain in History "Mcdonalds" in India has always been a Subject of Great Controversy and Speculation! The Fast Food Giant! known for their Spectacular Trademark Beef Burgers were forced to adapt and understand the Indian Culture and Sentiments when they faced problems while trying to break into the Indian Market! So they decided to wipe out Their Forte - and Beef and Pork practically dissapeared from their menu. But it paid off, and Today, Mcdonalds India is one of the Most Successful Players in the Fast Food Game. But has it really achieved all that it could? To every one who has eaten at Mcdonalds Overseas, Mcdonalds India is a Poor Imitation, Almost a Mockery of one of the Finest Food Chains and the Pioneers of Fast Food Itself. Their Burgers are Small, Ordinary, Lack Variety and are a Soggy Replica of the Most Loved Burgers in the World with enough Lettuce to feed a Cow! The Maharaja Big Mac is an Insult to the Big Mac and i would not recommend you to even try it! If you are a vegetarian, I am sure you are probably smiling right now, and the vegetarians have No reason to Complain! The veggie burgers seem to be okay and the Salad Sandwitch and Paneer Salsa Wrap are Decent! The Worrying aspect of all this, However is That none of this seems to stop me from Frequenting the Place as often as the rest and I do enjoy their Fries and the Burgers from time to time and its a Good Place to have a conversation like every Mcdonalds Outlet and the Service is Quick and Efficient! However I feel sad when i think about what it could have been. I believe and I am sure you all agree with me, that India has come a long way in accepting, understanding and adjusting to accomodate every ones likes and dislikes and I am sure that One or Two Beef  Burgers and a little more variety with their Chicken on the menu will not Harm a Soul, in fact, it will only enhance the productivity of a Highly Successful Corporation if Marketed Intelligently! After all, Its all in the Marketing, Isn't It?

A Feast Fit for a King!

                       < Barbeque Nation>

Take me back to the Paradise City where the Food tastes good and theres Buffet Aplenty!
If Barbeque Nation was a Country, It would make the United States look small! They Bombard you with a Vast Array of Never Ending Delicacies like Scud Missiles on a Skewer that just do not stop coming!
It is a Banquet fit for a King and worth starving yourself an entire day for! Their Appetizers are Out of this World and the Buffet is Enormous! Their Seafood is Fresh and You can actually Experience the Flavors of the Ocean in their Emphatic Crab Curry. But the Best Bet are their Mouth Watering Appetizers that make you want to Sleep there! Their Vegetarian Options are delightful as well and i personally enjoyed the Paneer, Corn and Mushrooms they served! A Trip to BBQ Nation is an Epic Adventure, A Challenge, A Conquest and  A Celebration! As one of my Best Friends and fellow Foodie Varun Taneja Famously said It is Truly a Religiously Gastronomical Experience! Gather up a Massive Appetite, Go there, and Unleash the Carnivore Within!
Don't Stop till You Drop!

It Does not get any Tougher than This!

                        Clash of the Titans!

The Battle of the Desserts Ultimately comes down to This! It is Baskin Robbin's Mesmerising Burj-al-Emlaaq versus Chilli's Elegant Molten Chocolate Cake versus Corner House's Classic Death by Chocolate! All 3 of these Heavenly Desserts Instantly put an Ecstatic smile on your faces and Teleport your Taste buds to an Unreal World. They Command Respect and even though they have a lot in common (Namely Ice cream, Cake and Fudge) they are Unique and Special in their own way. The Burj-al-Emlaaq, a Towering 7 Layer Sundae is a Lethal combination of Ice cream, Cake, and Hot Chocolate Fudge - A Meal by its own and a Challenging Task to Finish. Its priced reasonably and is Value for Money for Sweet Lovers in the Gulf!

The Molten Chocolate Cake Radiates Royalty and an Elegance that few can compare to. It has a Certain Dignity about it that makes you want to Worship it with your first mouthful. Once you get through the cool ice cream, A River of Caramel and Fudge flows like Lava from a Volcano doing Justice to its Name. Its a great combination of Hot Fudge and Cool Ice cream and if your ordering only one for a table, Its a Fight to the Finish! Though priced slightly on the higher side, Its worth every Bite!

Death by Chocolate! Need i say more ?? Its Heavenly and Delicious but more Importantly, It makes you glad that You are Alive! I found my Saviour in this Magical Corner House Creation and at one point of time, It became my Staple Diet. Its Smooth Combination and Perfect Price makes it Insanely Addictive and a Fabulous ending to a good meal.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Ive done my bit :) Now, Take your Pick! Cheers :)

Peace, Love and Hungry Hogs :)

"Ask and you shall Receive." Hungry Hogs was Gods answer to my Prayer! By far, the Best Hot Dog Joint in Bangalore and a Class above the rest, Hungry Hogs is in a League of its Own! Innovative, Authentic and Original, it was started a little more than a year ago by 3 friends fresh out of College - Darshan, Rahul and Nag ( amazing guys who i am glad to say have become good friends of mine) and has been going Great Guns leaving all other hot-dog options playing Catch Up! With an Innovative Menu that sounds great and is not too complicated, It makes food quick and simple and taste even better! Recently, they added the Intimidating Monster Dog to their range of choices- Double the size, and Double the Delight! Their Cheesy garlic bread is Amazing and my Personal favourite is the "Say Cheese" Dog though vegetarians have reason to smile and "Sev the World". The ambiance is relaxed and inviting and service with a smile is one of their main policies. It is a place you would want to frequent even when you are not hungry just to chill out, listen to some good music, watch a cricket match and basically have a Good Time :) Hungry Hogs is a Must Go for Hot Dog lovers who want a True Dog Experience that comes Straight From the Heart! Whats up Dawg?...... Dont think buddy..................Just go Hog!! Cheerss :D:D:D
